The 1.5-hour hike from Morteratsch station takes us through the glacier forefield to the foot of the Morteratsch Glacier. Passing through tunnels and smaller caves, we immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of ice. After about an hour, we begin our return journey to Morteratsch station. The caves are temporary formations and can only be explored with local mountain guides.
